Compression rings

Reliable Pressure Sealing

The compression ring is located near the piston crown and seals the combustion chamber against the cylinder wall. It ensures that the pressure generated during combustion acts directly on the piston and does not escape sideways.

A precise seal provides:

  • Maximum power transfer

  • Reduced blow-by gases

Especially under high pressure and temperature loads, the quality of materials and manufacturing precision are crucial for consistently stable performance.

Oil scraper rings

Controlled Lubrication Management

The oil scraper ring regulates the oil film on the cylinder wall. Excess oil is reliably removed, while a controlled residual lubrication is maintained.

This prevents:

  • Oil consumption in the combustion chamber
  • Deposits and soot formation
  • Increased emissions

At the same time, friction is reduced and wear minimized – a key factor in ensuring the long service life of the engine.

Heat dissipation – protection under extreme conditions

Piston rings also support the dissipation of heat generated during the combustion process. By maintaining contact with the cylinder wall, they help reduce temperature peaks and minimize thermal stress on both piston and cylinder.
